Important information on company-sponsored visas

As one of the ways we support teachers, YARUKI Switch Group / YARUKI Switch Career offers visa support for successful candidates located in Japan and overseas.

Before moving forward with a visa application, there is essential information that a candidate must consider. All new hires who request visa support will be required to carefully review the below responsibilities and acknowledge that they understand their obligations as a holder of a company-issued work visa.

Key considerations

Responsibilities after obtaining a work visa

A work visa is issued based on employment with a specific company. Working for another company or engaging in unauthorized activities is a legal violation.

If an employee resigns shortly after obtaining their visa, it may result in the cancellation of their visa or affect their future immigration status.

The company bears no responsibility if an employee’s visa is revoked.

Possibility of visa cancellation upon resignation

Companies are required to report to the Immigration Services Agency of Japan when a foreign employee holding a work visa resigns (Immigration Control Act, Article 19-16).

If an employee obtains a work visa through our company and later resigns, we are required to report the resignation to the Immigration Services Agency within 14 days.

If the individual remains unemployed for more than three months, their visa may be subject to cancellation (Immigration Control Act, Article 22-4).

Consequences of fraudulent employment or early resignation

If it is determined that an employee joined the company solely for the purpose of obtaining a work visa, legal action may be considered.

If an employee resigns within three months, in a manner that reveals they misrepresented their intentions during the hiring process, YARUKI Switch Career may request reimbursement for expenses incurred during their visa application (e.g., document preparation fees, administrative fees, etc.).

Commitment to fulfilling the contract term

Our company seeks employees who are committed to long-term employment and are willing to contribute to the growth of the organization.

Employees are expected to work for at least one year, in alignment with their contracts.
