Benefits of teaching with YARUKI Switch Group

Teacher leads class in activity
We provide strong work-life balance that sets teachers up to succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

Teachers are the centerpieces of YARUKI Switch Group schools, and we appreciate deeply everything they do to inspire and empower students.

As one of the biggest and most trusted education companies in Japan, YARUKI Switch Group provides native English-speaking teachers with a unique package of benefits and opportunities. This allows teachers to make the most of their experiences in Japan and carve out meaningful careers in this country.

As a note, our network contains directly managed and franchised schools. Because franchises are independently managed, opportunities and benefits may vary between locations.

Enjoy a strong work-life balance

We know it’s important for teachers to relax and recharge. That’s why our schools give teachers ample time to pursue their interests and enjoy life in Japan.

While there is some variation between brands, a standard shift is nine hours (eight hours of work with a one-hour lunch break). And, in most cases, there are minimal overtime requirements. Teachers enjoy 10 vacation days per year (after six months of employment) and opportunities to take advantage of Japan’s numerous public holidays.

Teachers also receive ample time during their shifts to plan lessons and we support them with comprehensive curriculums and detailed lesson/activity plans. This means teachers don’t have to worry about doing any class preparation outside of work hours.

Earn promotions and raises

Many YARUKI Switch Group teachers build meaningful careers inside and outside of the classroom. Successful teachers can receive recognition through salary raises and leadership roles. Many teachers have also progressed to positions at our head office in Tokyo, working in areas such as teacher training, curriculum development, employee recruitment, and brand or employee management.

Teachers who return to their home countries also benefit from their experiences with YARUKI Switch Group. Teachers can gain valuable experience in leadership, public speaking, and working in a different country. They also develop communication skills and confidence, which are assets in any industry.

Trust in quality health insurance

YARUKI Switch Group supports teachers with a strong benefits package. This includes comprehensive company health insurance, which covers 70% of your medical expenses in Japan. From routine checkups to medical emergencies, our insurance allows you to focus on teaching with peace of mind.

Empower students through English education

Teaching with YARUKI Switch Group is a rewarding experience. Our teachers change lives in the classroom. They use fun and creativity to help students elevate their English, develop self-confidence, and build cultural awareness.
