Position: Gymnastics Instructor (Main Trainer / Assistant Trainer)

■ Job Description:

You will provide gymnastics instruction in English to children aged 3 to 12, covering activities such as mat exercises, horizontal bar, vaulting box, and jump rope.

During the initial training period (approximately three months), a company representative or full-time staff will lead the instruction, while you support as an assistant trainer.

Your responsibilities will include:

・Assisting with exercises
・Engaging children who have difficulty focusing
・Supporting crying children
・Assisting with restroom breaks
・Communicating with parents

After approximately three months, you will step into the role of a main trainer and take charge of daily lessons. For those seeking further career growth, there are opportunities to manage new branches, oversee staff, train new employees, and plan and conduct events.

Example Weekday Schedule:

・9:30 - Gymnastics instruction at preschools or international schools in Tokyo, or training at Zebra Gym
・11:30 - Morning sessions end / Lunch break begins
・14:00 - End of lunch break / Start cleaning the gym
・15:00 - Start of afternoon lessons at Zebra Gym
・19:00 - Lessons end / Finish work

・Zebra Gym (English Gymnastics School), 7-1-2 Ikegami, Ota-ku, Tokyo or new locations

■ Background / Appeal of the Position:

Since its opening in April 2024 in Ikegami, Ota-ku - a highly competitive area for gymnastics schools - Zebra Gym has grown to nearly 300 members. Due to the opening of a new location, we are hiring additional staff. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing business and gain valuable early-stage experience as a founding member.

■ Application Requirements: ・Education: Not required
・Work Experience: Experience in sports instruction or education is preferred
・English Proficiency: Business level required
・Other Language Requirements: Basic Japanese communication ability

・Strong athletic background and understanding of physical exercise
・Loves working with children and easily connects with them
・Honest, with strong personal integrity
・Capable of basic communication in Japanese

■ Working Conditions:

Employment Type:

・Full-time employee / Short-hour full-time employee

Probation Period:

・6 months

■ Salary:

・Full-time (40 hrs/week): 3,300,000-4,200,000 yen per year
・Short-hour full-time (30 hrs/week): 2,400,000-3,100,000 yen per year

Short-hour positions allow for free weekday mornings, making them suitable for side jobs or dual employment.

■ Bonus / Incentives:

・Annual bonus in December
・Previous year’s result: equivalent to one month’s salary

Salary Increase:

・Annually in April

■ Transportation Allowance:

・Up to 20,000 yen/month covered by the company

■ Overtime Pay:

・Fixed overtime pay: 20,000-30,000 yen/month

■ Working Hours:

・Full-time: 9:30-19:00 (2-3 hour break)
・Short-hour Full-time:
・Weekdays: 14:30-19:00 (no break)
・Weekends: 9:30-19:00 (2-3 hour break)

■ Days Off:

・2 days off per week (on fixed weekdays)

■ Paid Leave:

・10 days annually (granted after 6 months of continuous employment)
